Twilight

Ok, so I finished reading "Twilight" last night and I have to say, I wish I hadn't heard so much about it before I read it. It was a bit of a disappointment to me. I won't go into details in case some of you haven't read it, but there were things in it that bothered me. I plan on reading the other 2 books so I can be in the loop, and I imagine they'll get better. Don't get me wrong, I liked the book, I just didn't LOVE it. And so far, ladies, I am not in love with Edward yet! I hope the next book is better, but I can't get it until Heather gets home from Australia. It's locked in her room.I heard there's a HUGE waiting list at the library and I'm really not over anxious, anyway since the next month will be CRAZY trying to get ready for the 4th, mom and dad's homecoming, Olivia's birthday, 2 vacations...maybe I'll get to the sequels before the first movie comes out!

Summertime!

It's HOT outside! In order to get outside once in a while we have to find a way to keep cool. Olivia doesn't have a swimming pool YET (her birthday is next week), so I turned on the sprinkler and put her slide in it so she could play in the water. She had a blast AND kept cool!

It's Always Fun at Grandma's House!

Olivia loves to visit her Grandma! There are so many fun things
to do and play with, inside and out! Here she is swinging in
Grandma's homemade hammock swing. For a while I thought
she might fall asleep. No such luck!

PLAY DOUGH!!!
Grandma makes fun jewelry.

Just like a princess!

Grandma and Liv making "muffins"

We didn't get a picture of the two of them playing outside in
the sandbox. Grandma came in the house laughing telling us
that when Olivia was "taking her order" Grandma wanted milk.
Olivia informed her that "We don't have milk. You want Diet Coke?"
That's my girl! It's always hard to leave Grandma's house.
But we'll be back...

Homecoming!!!

Exactly two weeks from today my parents will return from serving a mission in Australia. I'm so proud of them for going! It's been a life-long dream for my dad and my mom is always so willing to serve. It was so perfect for them to be able to go to Australia and they have had some amazing experiences. I know they will miss it, but we sure have missed them! We talk to them almost every week on the webcam, but it's just not the same without them here. It sure was easier being a parent with them around! Without them, life as a mom has been just a little harder.

My sister Heather went to Australia to do some traveling with them before they come home. It was so weird to see her on the webcam last night in the same apartment we've been seeing mom and dad in! I'm glad she got there safely after such a long flight. I can't believe she is so far away! It will be so good to have everyone home again...

Tag!!!

Yes, I'm finally doing it, Melissa! It was a lot of fun reading yours, so I'm going to tag some of my regular blogger friends. Should be fun!

How to play this game of tag. Post these rules on your blog:
List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

3 Joys
1-My family
2-Hearing my daughter's belly laugh
3-Good music

3 Fears
1-Losing a loved one
2-Deep water...gives me the willies just thinking about deep, dark water...ditto, Meliss!
3-Snakes

3 Goals
1-Have another baby
2-Achieve financial stability
3-Fix up my house!

3 Current obsessions/collections
1-Playing cards
2-Precious Moments
3-Clothes for Olivia

3 Random or Surprising facts about myself
1-I played football in High School (and I was GOOD!)
2-I hate shopping for shoes because the cute ones never fit
3-My main goal in life (non-spiritually speaking, of course) is to meet Reba McEntire

I tag...Heather, Kari, Jana, Jen, and Kerri (I would tag Sarah if she would ever get her own blog going!!!)

That's a big fork!

One night at dinner Olivia took the serving fork out of the broccoli and for some reason thought it would be fun to eat with a big fork! It was so funny! She finished her whole dinner with that fork. I just kept hoping she wouldn't jab herself in the eye with it!

Olivia and Friends

Olivia loves to play with her cousins and friends and she has plenty of them! She still refuses to let anyone else be Cinderella. She HAS to be Cinderella, so her friends have to "settle" for Minnie Mouse. She is so good with her little friends and we love having them at our house!
